Ok, the following is what I like to do.

I have WIN7 and also a virtual Box setup with WIN7 as Guest OS. Now, when I install a VNC (UltraVNC) Server on the Guest OS, how to connect to it ? I checked the IP on the Guest OS (ipconfig /all) and it shows a 192er... Adresse which isn't in the normal range of IP's that my router is set to.

My router has a range from 192.168.1.100 to 192.168.1.200 set. The IP that I see for the Virtual Box adapter is 192.168.56.1. Also it shows a IP like 10.0.2.15, whatever that is. Probably some Virtual Box internal. So far I wasn't able to connect from the Host OS with the Viewer to the Guest OS where the VNC Server is running. Both sides can ping the other, so that works.

Anyone has experience with that ?

I just configured a Vista Host to access an XP guest running VNC server:

From the running XP guest:
1) From the Devices menu, choose Network Adapters...
2) Change Adpater1 Attched To: from 'NAT' to 'Bridged Adapter'.

The guest should now pick up a valid IP address and should be available by a VNC client running on the Host.
