In addition to our fine tutorial on updating your system specs, here is another approach which will give fuller information:
Update your SevenForums System Specs
User CP (located on the top menu bar) |
Your Profile | Edit System Spec (left-hand column)

To gather info, use Speccy (my favorite) or SIW or System Info

In the System Manufacturer Block, enter:
Ø Manufacturer and Model OR Custom build.
Ø ADD the word laptop, desktop, netbook or tablet.
For example:
Toshiba Satellite L305D notebook.

Provide full windows version info, for example:
MS Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit

Use the “Other Info” block for Optical Reader,
Mouse, touchpad, wifi adapter, speakers, monitor, etc

Scroll down and click on SAVE CHANGES.

With Speccy, you can select with your mouse/touchpad info from the display
and paste that info into your specs.

SIW is a marvelous program, but the free version does not offer
this capability.

The only thing that bugs me is the message telling me that i might not be able to boot when i try to tranform the C drive into logical using PW software

What is giving you that message ?

READ. You have NOT filled in you system specs.

When that is accomplished, then your System Specs travel with each and everyone of your posts.

One does not need to search an entire thread to try find info.

When you follow the link given in post #21 or the procedure given in post #23, then you will have filled in your system specs.

You don`t need to change your C: drive to logical now. Exit out of whatever your doing and reboot the machine.

Don`t make any changes until you reboot safely.

Why do you want to?

You have 4 primary partitions.

That's fine.

If you want a 5th partition, then you will have to deal with logicals.

Iam following the totorial that tells me to change my C drive to logical and everything, but i get the following message mentionned above and you are telling me not to change it to logical, i dont understand now. I want a 5th partition because i need to install another OS in

You are ignoring questions.

Why do you feel the need to use logical partitions at this time??

The problem is that i want to install another OS, for this i need to create another partition in my C drive that will be named like E, isnt logical partition the only solution for me since i have a manufactured PC?

You NEED to install another OS ? Why ? Let me guess Windows 8 ? Don`t waste your time. It`s not worth the effort.

Leave your pc alone b4 you render it useless.

Get another hard drive to install it on. If you don`t know what your doing you shouldn`t be messing with your main pc. If it is I`m saying.

your win 7 is not current. Please update your win 7.
