Hello,
I had some problems indexing files from one of my hard drives, so I asked to an operator of Microsoft support and he told me to run sfc /scannow.
The scan found some corrupted files and couldn't fix it, but the operator from Microsoft couldn't help me so hope I can find the solution here.
The log folder contains one .log file called CBS, which I can't open (it says "Access denied"), 5 files with the extension .cab called CbsPersist and one more called DeepClean.log. If you could help me I would be grateful.

Thank you,
Bea

Hello Bea and welcome to Seven Forums.

This tutorial may help. Sometimes you have to run SFC 3 or more times before files are fixed. If your machine still has corrupted files, the last tip has a link to another tutorial on how to extract clean copies of files from a Windows 7 installation disk.

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html

It's also be possible that a recent (May 7) update from Microsoft (KB3022345) is causing issues. I had similar corrupt files. I uninstalled the update and hid it. Then I ran the Microsoft Fixit tool to reset the Windows Update components.

Hopefully others will jump in with additional suggestions.

Thank you for your answer. I've been trying to follow all the instructions in the tutorial, but I think I will be more difficult...
I runned sfc 4 times and the problem didn't fix. I runned System Update Readiness Tool, but it didn't work. I can't do a System Restore because I don't have this service activated, since it took too much space in my hard drive.
i got the sfcdetails.txt file, but there are too many files to repair it manually. I tried to repair install with the DVD of Windows 7, but when I tried to upgrade, it says that the version I have installed is already newer than the version of the DVD (I don't know why, I installed Windows with this DVD...).
The problem is not so serious to format, the only sign is that disc B: doesn't index. Here I left sfcdetails.txt and I hope anybody has another idea...

Thanks.

I forgot to uninstall the update you mentioned! And it worked! :D. SFC doesn't give any errors. But the problem with the index persists and I don't know the cause. I started a new thread in General Discussion to treat this.

Thank you very much for your help.

Glad to hear one of the issues is fixed. Hopefully the indexing problem will be solved as well. Thanks for posting back.
