how to format NTFS partition

hi, on my netbook there is C drive which is FAT 32 and D drive which is NTFS. the thing is i have windows xp dualbooting windows xp (i know its weird). i am only using C drive so i want to format the D drive and merge it with C drive so i can have more space. the thing is it doesnt let me delete it. i tried using Easus Partition manager, but there was no delete option or anything like that. please help

***i cant use the CD because mine is a netbook. also booting from USB does not work because my computer is old and it doesnt support booting from usb in BIOS.

It sounds as if the critical boot files are on D.

i changed C drive from FAT to N

If you're sure you have two XP installations and the one you want to keep is on C, then because C contains the System boot files you can delete D from C if you have no disk drive.

In the screenshot you are booted into D as indicated by the "Boot" flag so you'd have to reboot into C if it is indeed an XP OS and not just the boot files. Then you can delete D using Disk Management. After deleting the Logical partition D, you'll need to delete again the Volume to make it Unallocated space so you can Extend C into it. Partition or Volume - Delete

Be aware that the only partition managers which will not fail are Disk Management and free Partition Wizard bootable CD. In some rare cases XP might stop booting after repartitioning so you'd need to be able to boot the XP CD to run bootrec commands or an XP Repair Install. For this reason you might want to line up a bootable USB CD drive just in case.

A screenshot from C would confirm that it's a Dual Boot since C would then read System Boot and be ready to delete D from it, extend C into its space. Again you must Delete twice in Disk Management - first the Logical Partition D, and then it's container volume.

I would also mark C Active as it already should be, signifying it contains the System boot files.

OMG i used that program and i merged C and D drive and it told me to reboot so i did it and now it says "operating system not found" and it wont start. i cant insert any windows CD because mine is a netbook and booting from usb doesnt work because my netbook doesnt support it on BIOS. wut should i do..

This is why I asked for a screenshot, and even told you to line up a USB disk drive first so you had rescue ability.

We were giving you carefully planned steps so why would you do something completely reckless like merging two partitions you said were Dual Booting XP? This is what someone would do who wanted to deliberately ruin their OS.

First follow my steps in your other thread to determine for sure if you can boot USB flash stick. If not you need to borrow a USB disk drive to boot XP CD to reinstall, or google how to remove your netbook HD to put it into another laptop long enough to reinstall XP from boot.
