How to install another operating system

I have a Windows 7 Computer but I want to put Ubuntu Linux on a separate partition. I can't figure out how to do that. I already have the iso and have a new partition. Please help.

I have a brand new HP laptop pre-loaded with Windows 2010 starter. I have a Windows 7 full program that I have installed. Problem is that post installation I have no drivers, so no network and no internet. I have re-installed the Windows 7 HP twice with the same problems each time. Is there an easy fix to this? The laptop did not come with any backup disks so not even sure if I can undo the installation and be left with a workable, but new computer. Thanks.

Follow these steps to Clean Reinstall Windows 7 Factory OEM

Go to the Support Downloads webpage for your HP model to get the Wireless network driver, install it and get online, then run several rounds of Windows Update to get the latest drivers in optional Updates.

Any drivers then missing in Device Manager can be found on the HP webpage for your model along with possibly needed hotfixes.
