I have a few Arobat update patches in msp files.
Clcking on msp file does not respond. I am not getting any answer from Acrobat forum. Could someone know how to update for msp files?

I don't know about your particular msp file or why it is not responding but is it possible that the msp is not for your platform?

Also I tested another msp file and was able to extract the files with 7zip. Then there was a cab file which would also extract with 7zip where I found an exe file. Don't know but maybe it's possible to manually update if you get all the files extracted like that.

Well based on the error message I would say it is not for Win7 or it is for a different version of acrobat (looks like windows can't find the version of acrobat the msp is for), in which case I don't think manual install would work either. You may need to wait to hear from the adobe forum or see if anyone else here has had the same issue and knows the solution.

Indeed, I tried to exptract one of msp files with 7-zip.
It did (see the attachment). But I do not see any exe file.
There is no way to install these extracted files.

I again visited the Acrobat (windows) download pages for Acrobat.
(Adobe - Latest Product Updates). I confirmed that indeed they are in msp file.

Is that PCW_CAB_ACRO a .cab file? I can't see the extensions in ur screen shot. If so, 7zip that one now and see if there's an exe inside it. I still have no clue if it will work though.

No. It does not have an extension name.

well I got a copy and extracted it myself. PCW_CAB_ACRO does extract with 7zip but I didn't find an exe in it.

Is this the one for Acrobat 8.1.2 pro and standard version updates? I see all OS's except windows 7 in the system requirements section for it.

I'm at a loss since I don't actually have acrobat to play around with.

Hope someone can help you out.

It is Acrobat Pro 9. There was no problem with autoupdating of all Adobe CS4 programs (including Acrobat) on XP computer. When CS4 was installed on a new Windows 7 computer, autoupdating was disabled (probably due to the incompabitilty with Win7 system). That's why I tried to manually update Acrobat by downloading update patches from Acrobat dowload site. They came in MSP format. Yesterday, I posted a question about how to update MSP file to the Adobe Acrobat forum. There was not a single response.
