I'm trying to do a clean install from a Win10 ISO file I have on a USB. I thought I would be able to simply put it on my USB, click on it and it would install. Sorry for my ignorance. So, how do I go from this point? Oh! IT IS LEGAL, and it's no OEM, or anything silly. I simply downloaded it from a retailer. This is also my 2nd PC I'm installing it on. I'm assuming I'm still good doing that?:confused:

If I understand you correctly, you can run the setup.exe from the USB!

Thanks Paul. That's what I thought too. But when I click on the ISO it wants to burn a new DVD. Are you implying if I DO burn it to a DVD it will provide the Setup file?

You can't copy & paste ISO file to USB, you have to burn the ISO file to USB use
Rufus 3.4

Thanks guys. I'm installing now. I made the mistake of letting it do an upgrade from 7 Ent. so it assumed I wanted 10 Pro N, so it also assumed I wanted to use the login for my school. So, after even my school wouldn't accept the login I had to shutdown and start all over. Hope thangs go swimmingly well this time.

It's me again. Guys, I REALLY wasn't trying to do anything illegal. I thought M'soft would let me use the same Prod. Key I'm using on my DAW PC, which was the 1st PC I installed it on. Anything I can do other than buying a whole other Key?

What Windows version came with the computer you're trying to install win 10?

If it came with Win 7 you have a COA sticker label on the side panel.

Use the key on COA sticker label to install / activate win 10
Win 7 Home or HP = Win 10 Home
Win 7 pro or ultimate = Win 10 Pro

If you have 4G or less, use 32 bits version. If you have more than 4G, use 64 bits version

If you consider this thread not solved, please mark it as unsolved or you won't receive more help.

Thanks MHz,

The PC was empty. It came with the mobo installed and I put in SDD & HDD. I completely formatted the drive before installing Win10. I KNOW I kept the Prod. Key on my electronic receipt that I can't find now. So, I guess there's really nothing you guys can help me with at this point. But I appreciate all the help.
