How to keep a resized window.

I have a problem with a program window that I require size, and it be rembered by Windows 10. Every time that I proceed in doing so, Windows 10 appears to fail in remembering and at next opening does with a full window size. In Windows 7, I remember that it took note of the window size saved and opened at this size. Does this not apply with Windows 10? and can anyone help with this. Thank you.
