Solved How to limit FPS in games?

Every time I install a new game FPS goes to around 200 (before enabling vsync).

Now I installed a game that doesn't have option to enable vsync, how can I limit FPS to 60?

Your not realy limiting it with vsync. Just change the refresh rate in the game in question.

What game are you playing?

Some Korean mmorpg called "AikA Global". And there is no such a option to change refresh rate / vsync in configs.

@Nippe - You have to force VSync on the application using the NVIDIA Control Panel.

@Slasher I can only find option to force 3D vsync from NVIDIA control panel (tried that too, didn't help) :/

NVIDIA Control Panel > Advanced > Manage 3D Settings > Global settings, scroll down to the bottom > Vertical Sync > Select Force On

This should work just fine.



Alternatively, you can create a profile that will only be applied for that game.


-- In 3D Settings, click the Program Settings tab, then Click "ADD"

Browse to, and add the .exe for the game you want.
Then, select it, scroll to the bottom and force Vsync On.



As mentioned, this can be done it in the Gloabal Tab and work just as well.
The only difference is "Global" changes will be applied to all games, and changes in Program settings will only be applied to the particular game when it is launched.



Either way you choose to do it, it should work.

Also, I would recommend enabling Tripple Buffering with Vsyync as well.

There is no "advanced" thing, but that is just what I did and that didn't help.

Oh.. And just noticed that I can't even find "AIKAGlobal.exe" from that list of installed programs, tried to add it but still nothing.

Got this problem solved in other thread.. All I had to do is install Rivatuner and run a program called "d3doverrider", thanks for your help anyways
