how to open a pined program twice

my dad is struggling with Windows 7.
he just want to open Firefox twice when he is surfing to a second website.
but you can't when something is pined on the taskbar.

is there a solution for this?

Open FF once, now press CTRL+N : does a second Window open?

yes it works but it is not as easy (especially for my dad) to just click on the icon.

You could try and create a second shortcut for FF, and then pin that there too?

1. Click the icon (in this case for "Mozilla Firefox") once to open the program for the first time
2. Right-click the icon, then left-click the program name (in this example "Mozilla Firefox") to open a second instance of the program)

The above works for ANY program you may have pinned to the taskbar.

middle-click the taskbar icon.

shift-click works too, but middle-click (with the scroll wheel) is cooler.
