How to open calculator so it opens on top

If i go to the start menu and click on the calulator it will open on top of any open window but when i try to open the calulator from my keyboard it won't open on top. does anyone know how to have it open on top from the keyboard? why it should be different i don't know. i have the microsoft wireless laser keyboard 6000 v2.0. i tried to see if there was some options in the keyboard software but couldn't find any for this. win7pro 64bit

Welcome to 7 Forums!

I dont see where your having problems with the keyboard. Do you want to launch the program right from your keyboard?

Download this software (http://download.microsoft.com/downl...0-9801-7C2561F75AB3/IPx64_1033_7.10.344.0.exe) and install it.
Then open the microsoft keyboard program (should be on your desktop after installation) and you should be able to find a tab to set programs or anything else from your top convience keys. When you do, it will be on top of the other programs you may have on screen.

I was interested in this idea so downloaded and installed the software but it appears to be software for configuring a mouse. I couldn't find any reference to a keyboard. Have I missed it somewhere?

in response to neverhavemoney... yes i want to launch the calulator directly from the keyboard... same keyboard but in XP the calc came to the top of any open window and now it doesn't on win7. i tried a few things to get it open on top but none of them worked...
i tried to do what dwarf suggested but i couldn't get that to work...

i don't particularily like the flash thing to happen but the calc does open on top now so that's a good thing..

I did try at the time to see if I could get it to work without the brief flash of the command window, but was unable to prevent the flashing.

I have just had another look at this, and have reassigned the calculator key to its default. It now works correctly whereas before it didn't, although assigning the calculator to one of the Favorites buttons did. It would appear that this was a bug in the keyboard driver which has subsequently been fixed.

I'm glad that we have got this sorted out. It's much better now that it opens as it's supposed to, without having to use a work-around (including the annoying window flash).
