I plugged in a PS3 Controller on a Windows 7 to play Lag Warfare with my 2 friends.

The 1 2 3 4 things beeped, that means otherwise its not Plugged in or it doesn't have Batteries.

What App should i download? People download these. But i dont want to!

Playing with an XBOX controller FOR Windows is pretty easier imho.

No need to download third-party softwares to correctly configure the controller on your choice.

Games automatically detect the controller and you can just set custom controls in-game

There PS3 controllers that uses USB ports.

Well, you have two choices, SCPToolkit or MotionInJoy, I personally use the former, due to its stability.

Both require either a bluetooth dongle, or enough USB ports for all players to play wired. A backup of your USB Drivers is, as usual, recommended. I believe each of these has their instruction on the page. If not, I can try to sum it up here. Just lemme know if you need any help! :D

Oh, and if you're going to use MotionInJoy, use this tool after installing to make it simpler.
