in a few hours im about to go out of town my ipods broken so i wanna use my pc to listen to all my music whats the best way to not use alot of battery while on the trip

Hi there, Well I would recommend the following:

Turn your wireless off!
Switch your power plan to "Power Saver"
take a spare battery just in case
don't plug anything USB into it or it will draw power from the laptop. and don't use it unnecessarily

Go into power settings and set the screen to turn off in the shortest time you're comfortable with. The screen is probably the biggest power draw on the battery.
