How to show US google site while in another country?

Whenever i go to google.com or yahoo.com, it directs me to google.mx. I'm located in mexico at the moment but i want to make it show the us version of google and yahoo.


Can someone tell me how to fix this issue? I had fixed this issue a while back but don't recalled what i did.


I also know some sites go to the .mx site but i have no issue with that. But with google etc, i want it to go to the us site.

Hi there i use chrome. I don't use firefox. So you recommend the one you use as oppose to the first two?


Another thing but if you do this, does this mean other sites will show up as us as well? For example here when i go to walmart.com, it never goes to walmart.com and always go to walmart.mxn. With amazon when i go to amazon.com, it goes to amazon.com. Does this solve the walmart.mxn issue?


Also, this doesn't change your IP address or anything like that right? Thus it doesn't make it seem like you are in the US or it does? My Ip address is mexico since im in mexico.

To access any specific Google site just append its country code to the url and it will open that no matter what. For example, just to name a few:

https://www.google.com.mx (for Mexico)
https://www.google.com.ar (for Argentina)
https://www.google.co.uk (for England)

The only problem is the United States specific site. As it doesn't takes a country code (since US has never had one), it acts as the "wildcard" and uses it to redirect to whatever local you happen to be. Google has a special URL to prevent such behavior, that you need to append "/ncr" to the address to specify Google US:

https://www.google.com/ncr

As you can see the plugin works for Firefox,IE, and Chrome.

You can install Google plugins for any country you like.
Set one as the default search engine, and the others will appear on your search with... menu, so you can select which one you want to use (if you need to search with different engine).

You may try Hotspot Sheild from chrome store and set the vpn to US
