my computer is slow but i do not know why anyways to speed up computer tell me

beyond hardware Upgrades, Typically, the type of things I would do regular are as follows:

1. CCleaner found here: CCleaner - Optimization and Cleaning - Free Download
Use it to clean up temp. Files
Also, in Tools Tab --> Start Up you can disable start up items that are not needed to start with Windows. this would be things such as Yahoo or Windows messenger for example. Things that are not essential.
Your Antivirus for example is essential, and should start with Windows.

leave the registry alone

2. open elevated cmd prompt and type
cleanmgr sageset:50 (Check all the bozes that apply with the exception of perhaps thumbnails)
then type; cleanmgr sagerun:50 to run it
this is just a advanced version of windows built in disk clean up

3. Defragment your HD
