am looking for help with my hp deskjet F4180 printer.

I recently had my desktop pc upgraded from 32 bit to 64 bit.

I had to re-load programs, including the hp printer program.

I only want to print using black ink.

I set it to that. it will not stay set to that. it always defaults to printing with color.

does anyone please have any idea how I can fix this?

thanks alot,
Charlie

Hiya pal.

Goto control panel then goto "Devices and printers" then "right mouse button" on your printer. Next goto "printer properties" Instead of going to the "general" tab and selecting the option to print with black only click on the "advanced tab" now click on the "printing defaults" button (bottom left) change the options to what you need then click OK. Close all the open windows and you should be good to go ;)
