Changing the motherboard on a laptop is not really an option. Cost wise it will probably be about the same as buying a new laptop.
I have had laptops labelled dead by repair shops when all that needed doing was to re seat some connector. Link to video on how to take the laptop apart https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kOdmGuiq1l8
Fair warning: it's going to take MUCH longer than the 15 min of the video to dismantle it and putting the thing back together is tedious and delicate work
