HP psc 2110 all-in-one does scan but does not PRINT

Please, how can I make my printer work with my win7 (64). I can scan but I cannot print. I have this problem since one month and I already believe I have to buy a new printer. This is my last hope.

Hello and welcome bubble I am assuming this is a driver related issue so have you done the latest driver downloads if not try these. I find with Canon the disks you get with the device are well out of date.

Also check the drivers for the USB ports too in Device Manager.

Thanks a lot, but it does not help. The driver to connect my pc with the printer does not exist. If I want o download a driver, it is wiritten there, it is not necessary, because my win 7 has it already. And if I try with win, it writes I have to download it. So I am getting mad about that. Update win7 does not help either. So there must be a trick, but who knows and will tell me?

Thanks for the link to the opage, which I know by heart. Since a month, I tried approximately 100 times to install the appropriate driver, but it is not possible. If I want o download a driver, it is wiritten there, it is not necessary, because my win 7 has it already. And if I try with win, it writes I have to download it. So I am getting mad about that. Update Windows 7 does not help either. So there must be a trick, but who knows and will tell me? (Sorry for repeatging my words, but it is the only answer for the last reply.)

No don't worry mate there is a way around it I am sure perhaps if you uninstalled the whole kit and caboodle and then reinstalled it from scratch it might work. DON'T give up eh? I know how frustrating these issues are!!

Just as an after thought have you looked in Control Panel > Devices and Printers like in my lot is the printer listed there?

Hum G I thought this wasn't printing at all? maybe I have got hold of the wrong end of the stick unless you mean to run the test page from the device itself??

I am thinking maybe this printer may be a warranty job in all honesty as it will not take the drivers.

I dont know - if it cant print the test page, then its definately a driver issue. Windows will usually assign an appropriate driver (which I think he says has happened) so 1st port of call is to see if these work.....by trying to print the test page.

This is how I fixed a similar problem with my HP C5380: -

Switch off & unplug Printer.
Go to Control Panel > Programmes and Features.
Uninstall ALL HP programmes. REPEAT- ALL.
Restart PC.
Plug in printer leads, switch on Printer. Windows will detect your printer and search for drivers.
When drivers are found, follow instructions to install.

You should now have working drivers. If they are OK for your purposes, fine. If not, you can use the Links already given for your printer, OR you can Google for HP Support at

HP Support & Drivers | United Kingdom
(That is the UK site, but you may find the one for your country if not in the UK.)
- and register your printer with HP. You can then use the site to update your drivers to the latest ones. You can allow HP to detect your printer by typing the model into their Search Box and giving you the drivers, which will include updated versions of what came with your printer DVD, plus possible extras.

A very big "thank you" to all, who wrote me here. I definitly cannot print anything. A test page as well. I tried to uninstall all HP stuff and install everything new (maybe 5 times), it didn't work. It seems I have to contact on Monday the HP support. I am registered by the HP site.

Did you first switch off and unplug the printer, then after uninstalling, did you allow Windows to find your drivers?

If you did all that and could get no result, I hope HP are able to help you.

(I lived for a time in Detmold, Lippe. I have forgotten most of my Deutsche sprache, sorry.)

Hi Bertison! Detmold and St. Gallen, where I live, there is a distance of about 300 miles (but I had to look up in Google Earth, because I've heard the first time of Detmold - I admit). If you want to refresh a little bit your german language, I could give you my e-mail (I hope it is allowed here), there could be a nice chat. And I have to improve in my English. No stress over there - only if you want

Now being a wily Englishman bubble I have the perfect trick - go Canon - seriously no mate I don't know of anything real fancy apart from just hooking them up with a cable and letting the machine "discover" the printer.

Having said that I would be pretty damn miffed if someone told me that about my printer after spending what sounds like quite a bit of money on the darn thing. Personally I have always had Canons' easy to use and the only thing I have found with them is that cheap printer pricey inks and pricey printer cheap inks does not make any sense but a fact. My current one a MFC - Canon MG 5250 is the best of both worlds not expensive to buy and the inks not too bad especially the after market ones.

Yep this a definite possible Indie and as for the 7 having the driver in the OS or whatever what is all that about - some sweetheart deal?? and where the dickens would it be unless it can be found in the HKEY - USER and LOCAL lists under software?

So it seems I have the solution. I work on my normal new computer, transfer the files to be printed to the XP computer and PRINT finally. (Heureka!) Well done. A little bit awkward, but it works at least.

Thats ok bubble but it leaves you with a "defective" machine my friend. Is there any warranty to run on it as I personally would be hassling them for some satisfaction.

The other thing I was also thinking perhaps you could hook the two together via USB cable and just transfer data that way? If that doesn't work then there is something quite wrong with the board IMHO.

So can you let us know if it is a pre built or did you build it yourself - some system specs might help here too my friend.
