I have tried all day yesterday and today to post. Even changed my password. No luck I need to know how to backup my laptop. Can anyone see this?????

I don't want to reinstall it, I just want to back it up. I have everything from the uninstall-reinstall that was done in May on my eternal back up drive. The shortcut is still on the desktop from when you helped me before. Just need to know what to choose... It does not backup on the laptop.

If you had your User folders backed up to External and know that you changed, added or deleted files in one then I would delete it from the External and copy the latest one in place of it. These User folders are in the Start button menu under Eileen (Documents, Desktop, Favorites, Pictures, etc.).

If you're unsure which might have been changed just delete them all on External and then drag the latest ones from the Eileen folder to External. Make sure each copies completely. You can compare the sizes by rightclicking on each in the Eileen folder to look at Properties box, comparing it to the same User folder's Properties box from the External after its copied there. They should match sizes exactly.
