sorry, but its getting a bit confusing with so many links
the last update i did was kb4530734, which seems to be a monthly quality rollup
it seems like theres several updates with this name
windows gives me an error message that says windows update encountered an unknown error if i try to install it though

yes, but it seems like theres several updates with this name
also, im looking for an official solution.. i dont want to download any more third party programs or post any uploads
it should be possible to get a fully updated computer this way

I just tried using this guide to fix the update errors. It gives me error message 0x800F081F. It seems you need microsoft framework 3.5 to install this update, so im going to install framework and see if it solves it.

some more problems with windows i want to mention
i just spent almost 3 hours downloading 3 updates..
they only take up about 300 mb of space.. i think its ridicilious that i takes so long
also, after downloading them, two of them failed and only one was installed
the latest update i got is KB890830 which is a windows malicious software removal tool
how far am i behind?

It took my two laptops hours and hours of downloading, attempt-installing, many many finally got installed, some if not many failed to install. Time stood still during that month. Recently, I disabled WU. Maybe, after making OS full image backups, will try to get the remaining few WUs. PaulB, Snick, SIW2, others: would System Restore Points roll Windows 7 Pro back to a state before the installation of bad acting WU or WUs?

well theres six different updates i tried all of them and it said they were already installed or that they couldnt be installed on my computer
is there some official catalog with all of the updates that i can go through manually one by one?
i have been searching for updates with windows update for several months now and windows still isnt updated..

that rollup update was from Dec. 2019
so you are one month behind


KB4530734 is superseded / replaced by KB4534310 (Jan. 2020) and you will get no more new updates after that (maybe except for KB4539601) since free Win7 support ended on 1/14/2020

i just checked my update history and theres a ton of updates that i have already installed
so i cant be missing much i guess
