when i play games the require keyboard and mouse, i cant use my mouse for a couple seconds when i hit my keyboard...

for example, i play something that requires "wasd" to move around, and i need to mouse to aim a gun or somthing like that, i cant move it... is there a known way to disable this? its VERY annoying

That's odd. More than half my games I use the mouse/keyboard and all work great so I can't say its specific to windows 7. Can you provide a little more information? Is the mouse/key USB or PS/2? How old are they? Have they ever froze up while playing or normal computing?

My old keyboard(PS/2)/mouse(USB) would occasionally freeze on me while playing if I tried to do to many movements. I solved this by picking up a new usb board and mouse.

You might need to up your mouse and keyboard speeds in windows- I am not sure where to find them now- use start search and type in keyboard or mouse and up settings. First things I do after install os and before gaming is id up my keyboard and mouse speeds in windows- or can seem like lag or slow response in some games..

From game you might have to up mouse speeds or menus are slow- but can make your movements in game and aiming faster- if not to fast.. I try and hit a balance to speed up menus- but to fast in game can be a head ake sometimes..

** This is how I have mine set as defaults..>

Also just plugging in or unplug re plug mouse or keyboard might not work like that- you may need to reboot windows before it see the mouse or keyboard or it might not work.

See ya..

Kyle, In your first post you did not mention that this was a laptop and I was originally wondering if any or all of your devices are wireless (bluetooth??). I have run 2+ devices on bluetooth simultaneously and seen bandwidth issues before. Can you give us more information on your hardware? Are you using the laptop keyboard and built-in touchpad?? Is your laptop in a dock and using external keyboard/mouse? The more info the better.

RayFinkle raises a good point. You gotta watch your setup especially the wireless stuff, unless you're willing to pay top dollar for you wireless mice/keyboards then you're bound to run into an issue or two.

You could try uninstalling your mouse and keyboard drivers, reboot then do a reinstall.
