The last week or so, I get hte message box " internet explorer has stopped working. It only does this on the ebay site. I can have ebay and other tabs running and only ebay gives me this message. When it does, I can open one of the other tabs and all is fine on that/those tabs. I searched on this forum and saw it has been a problem in the past and tried what was suggested, but it still happens. I've run malwarebytes, ccleaner, virus scan and all comes up clean. I've added ebay.com in i.e compatibilty view settings. Any thoughts as to why this is happening? I have no other computer issues. It is a dell 545 win10pro.

phoenixmark,
Seems as though several cites are not supporting Internet Explorer any more. Stop using Internet Explorer for security reasons.
Try Firefox Quantum, my preferred
or
Chrome

Security reasons my Aunt Fanny Mae! It's because IE is harder for web page designers to program for and they are often too lazy or too incompetent to include IE, using the pathetic and false excuse that IE is unsafe. This has been going on for years but we are seeing more websites doing this lately because IE's usage percentage has been dropping quite a bit.

IE 11 is far more secure than Google Chrome, btw. Google spies like crazy on their users. Also, IE 11 is the only browser I know of that still allows full cookie control. Firefox is a far safer alternative.

But, Firefox is just a browser, and not a search engine. To do SAFE Searches, you need a search engine that does not record every move you make, like Google, or every web page you visit.
It's been quite a while now since I went looking for such a Search Engine, and I found one: "https://www.startpage.com". That's my "Home Page".

I've used it on every setup since then, for both myself and my friends and customers. We all love it!

For forty years, I've had two priorities concerning my work with PC's....and those are Performance and Security. I do everything I can to get both out of every computer I've built or setup for others.

I've used every tweak and twiddle that I know of, to make my own PC run as fast and efficient as is possible, and I use Firefox and Startpage.com to keep it safe.

I know both are working, because I have a VERY FAST PC, and I've not suffered a malware attack in well over a decade.

Season's Greetings Mates!

I wouldn't know. I stopped getting updates from MS back on 12/2017 because I got sick and tired of all the updates that were broken and broke my computer.
