I get error 9C59 when updating Internet Explorer 10 for Windows 7 for

I am getting this error everytime i try to run the IE10 update. Please help!!!

sfc scan showed 100% correctness and no violation.

Windows update error code is----Code9c59.

They are all from IE9 - so it's not surprising that IE10 is complaining

I'll post a fix for them later.

The errors are related to what issue? I would like to understand a bit as this has been causing a lot of pain lately.

I've uploaded a file - mogaa.zip - to my SkyDrive at Noel's SkyDrive
Please download and save it.
Right-click on the downloaded file, and select Extract all…
Extract to the default location - which will create a new folder mogaa in the same place.
Open this folder - there should be one folder inside it (Manifests, )

Copy the content of the manifests folder (.manifest files) into this folder:

C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Winsxs\Manifests

Now run the CheckSUR tool again (it may take a while)

Post the new CheckSUR.log file, and the CheckSUR.persist.log file.

The problem appears to be that at some point an update had reserved file names for the manifest files it needed to create, but never actually put data into them -possibly due to a forced shutdown, or some form of corruption.

Good - that's fixed the CheckSUR errors, at least.

Now please try installing IE10 again - if it fails, post the C:\Windows\windowsupdate.log file and I'll see if I can work out whether we need to try uninstalling IE9 completely.

It worked Thanks a lot man!! Have been trying for month to get this fixed..Thanks again.

Also i had another problem wherein my laptop fails to take backup of the system and returns failure message every time. Could you please suggest me where i can get help?
