My copy of Win Mail(old) is fully functional in Win7 but does not appear in the control panel programs & features section.
How can I correct this?

Don`t think it`s supposed to.

If it`s workin fine, don`t worry about it.

The links for uninstalling programs from Control Panel are being read from Windows Registry, where programs and Windows software are supposed to write them when they are installed.
It is also possible that Windows components do not register themselves completely into the Registry, so you might want to have a look at this Microsoft KB article :
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/266668/en-us

However there are programs which do not provide such uninstall links or poorly written registry cleaner software can accidentally delete those strings (less likely, though).
Actually if a program does not have an uninstall link in Control Panel, if you need to uninstall it, you can try looking for that in the program's start menu folder or you can look for an uninstaller in "C:\Program Files", in your program's folder.

How can I correct this?

What version of "Win Mail(old)" are you using?
Is it a version of Windows Live Mail?
Windows 7 does not include Win Mail or Outlook Express in the OS installation...

Hi, Win Mail, as it appeared in Win XP is embedded in Win 7 but not normally available for use. It has to be dug up and activated. MS apparently wanted to force people to use Win Live Mail but I happen to prefer the old version, and so apparently do others judging by the activity on the various help forums. My only issue is that it does not appear in the Control Panel list of programs, but that is not really important to me.
Much more pressing is my current issue which I need help with. Win Live Mail, WLM, is constantly making me sign in, and often it will not accept the password and I have to keep on trying. It is a real annoyance, incidentally I have two other mail handlers and they all have the same issue. If I go online to Charter.net I have no problem logging in. What is going on? I really would appreciate any help you can give me.
