Hi guys, Hope you are all doing great. im lost trying to sort something out. My girlfriend wanted to buy me a ps4, Since im a die hard pc fanatic i told her that i dont like consoles and she agreed to buy me some upgrades, She asked me to give her a list of things that i need. So i asked her to buy me an msi Gtx 960 and i mentioned to her that i would be needing a stronger psu @ least 500w but i did not specified any brand. after visitin her parents she came back with An Msi Gtx 970 4g and a Hec Win power ultra quite 600W. From one look of the psu packaging i knew i had own one of those back in 2011-2012 so i hurried down stairs in our garage in the corner where we keep old carton boxes that we use if we need to store auto parts and bolts and after 5 minutes of searching i finally found the empty psu box. Its the very same unit that i have owned before, its been so long that i dont even recall how it died. So my question is it safe to use this psu? Its a brand new unused unit, but its possible that it was manufactured well over 4 years ago. I really don't want to risk the new Gpu and my other components.

I would agree with oscer1. A Corsair TX series is another good one. Same with EVGA.
