Dear Members,

I need help right now, my computer has windows 7 it was running smoothly. Until yesterday I turned it on and many things when opened, like, windows backup, windows update, Windows Office, iTunes and other system programs. I thought it was some kind of virus, but luckily I could run a system scan and everything was clean. The only thing that runs good is google chrome and it's only for a while! I as another way to see things through went to the "Fix my computer" in the f8 menu, and found no errors on disk. I don't know what to do, are either unresponsive or just plain super slow. I checked to see if CPU cores were running to high, but it only runs from 0%-3% both of them as if idle or something. Please help. I need my computer back and fully online, please.

I'm adding error messages it shows when unresponsive:

Uinstall Avast antivirus in safe mode. Then reboot into safe mode and run superantispyware - full system scan - update it. After updating, disconnect from the internet and run a scan. Then, post a screenshot of your installed apps. Search for snip in the start menu.

You could also download and do a scan with MalwareBytes (free app). It's very good at removing malware.

If MB scan shows no malware then it would be a good idea to run the system file checker, from an elevated command prompt type, "sfc /scannow" without the quotes, hit enter and let it complete.

If that doesn't fix it, you could try to run system restore to restore your system to a time before these issues started occurring. Just type system restore in start, search, hit enter, choose an appropriate restore point and let that complete.

If that doesn't fix the issue, then a repair install might be necessary. This leaves your programs, data and most settings intact.

Check the links in this post for more info and detailed instructions on each of these procedures
