i see my local drives as removable ..

hi ichange bios as ahci cause i have 2 dock station and every time i have to restart to see the dock stations hard drives,ok i change my bios settings to ahci (somewhere i read if i do that,i can see then the dock stations drives as hot swap) anyway i dont fix the problem cause i have to restart again the pc to see the dock stations drives but i see and my local drives (c:,d: ) as removable.any idea? how i fix it/.thank you.

It's common if you're using AHCI.

There may be a BIOS setting to set the internal drives as not removable. It's not universal, though.

Some chipsets show the drives as removeable with AHCI and some don't. There isn't anything wrong...it's just the way the drives are displayed.

As Deacon says, some drives are shown as removable, it's all in the chipset. My printer is shown as a removable drive, means nothing.

With AHCI, I also see my OS drive as removable.

I tested this a long time ago, and got an error message when i tried to eject the device.
It would not eject...

I did make a backup image before that test, just in case...
