I think i damaged my hdd please help

Alright guys stick with me please this has been a long day, i have an Asus x540S pc and it has been previously working on win10, i was asked to switch to windows 7 due to software compatibility, i downloaded a win7 image and used rufus to create a bootable usb drive, note that i used this same image and usb drive to format another pc yesterday, when i installed on this pc however after it finished installing and when it was about to restart i unplugged the usb drive and it showed the "starting windows" screen then i got a blue screen with the error 0x0000007e, i read in an article that creating a partition and setting it as active myself instead of windows doing that could solve the problem, so i tried following these steps : DISKPART
LIST DISK
SELECT DISK 0 (after confirming Windows 7 target HD #)
CLEAN
CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY
FORMAT FS=NTFS LABEL="WINDOWS 7"
ACTIVE
EXIT
However after using the "FORMAT FS=NTFS LABEL="WINDOWS 7"" command it reached 75percent and i accidentaly stopped it and now i can't do anything with my disk, using the commands "sfc /scannow" , "dism .... restore health" and cleaning with diskpart all return errors. If you need any additional info please let me know

Welcome to the forum. Most disk makers have a test specific for their hard drive thats the first thing. Using checkdisk is worth a try but the makers disk is specific

The CMD CLEAN erased all disk (files, folders, partitions)
The CMD CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY create a partition on the unallocated space.
The CMD FORMAT FS=NTFS does a FULL format of the partition and it can take many hours on a 1T HDD.

Boot from the Win 7 installation drive, launch the CMD window (Shift+F10) and type:
DISKPART
LIST DISK
SELECT DISK 0 (after confirming Windows 7 target HD #)
CLEAN
CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY
FORMAT FS=NTFS quick LABEL="WINDOWS 7"
ACTIVE
EXIT

- The Windows installation wizard does all that for you. Boot the Win 7 installation drive, go to install - Advanced and delete all partitions and proceed.

If the computer came with Win 10 it can be that it isn't compatible with win 7.
- If I remember well there is no graphics driver for the N3700
- You have to set BIOS properly Win 7 isn't compatible with Fast Boot and Secure Boot. It must be disable.
- You may need to Enable CSM on BIOS and install as Legacy - MBR

sorry for the late reply, I had to use my win 10 installation wizard to solve this problem, for some reason win 7's installation wizard did not and it showed an error instead, but the problem that i need to install win 7 remains, please note that i had to convert from mbr to gpt because that's what the installation wizard suggested and that this pc used to run on win 7 and we had to change it's hdd a while back, im still getting the bsod here, i got CSM enabled and secure boot disabled.

What error win 7 gave you?
Do you have a reliable Win 7 installation drive (USB or DVD)?
