HELP!! (please)

I don't know what else to do.
I have tried many different options and searched the net for similar issues but I haven't yet found the way out (or any hint to pintpoint the source of the problem)
The problem:
I have a desktop connected to Internet through a ADSL modem (the modem is cable connected to one of my mobo lan adapters).
My mobo (asus p5k wifi deluxe) has a wifi built in adapter (and antenna).
I'd just like to share my desktop ADSL internet connection with a laptop or smartphone (they both have wifi connectivity).

So I enabled ICS on my internet connection. It works (sometimes) so I think the ICS settings are ok.
The problem is that when I enable ICS (regardless if some other device uses it or not) the PC stutters and lags whenever there's internet data flow through it. Sometimes even the video card hangs (and is automatically restored after a few secs). If I disable ICS everything is ok.

It's very annoying. :(

It seems as if there's some hw problem like some malicious feedback loop or IRQ conflict. Probably there's some problem in my settings.

Does anybody have encountered something similar (and found out the reason and the solution)?
Is there something I can do to find out how to solve the problem?

Thank you very much for your suggestions or hints.
