Identifying Videos

I have 14 videos from an old western TV series, that I encoded from the DVD, but none are labeled by title on the DVD. My head is spinning from trying to ID these for cataloging, because I have not found a reliable method for doing so.

This is one of those old series that the actors for both the good and bad guys are from the same group, just taking different roles. So looking at the episode cast doesn't help much. Even the runtimes are slightly different from those listed on iMDB, because of the format that I used to encode with.

Short of playing an episode and trying to match it with the synopses of each episode listed on iMDB, which isn't very practical, because one good guy/bad guy plot looks pretty much like the others, and it would be tedious and time consuming to go that route...is there a better method that would work?

Do the timestamps offer any chronological value? I assume the DVD's and the episodes within were ripped in sequence, barring any duplicate effort to replace a bad rip.

No, because the videos weren't in chronological order on the DVDs in the first place.

I don't think there will be any easy way of doing this.

What's the series called?
What's the size all up, too big to upload via private torrent? Maybe I could give you a hand trying to match 3 or 4 with the synopses of each episode.

Is 3.3mb still your current internet speed, what's your upload speed? Might take longer to upload a espisode than just you identifying it.

If you can without taking up to much of your time you could encode them to a really low quality, below watchable, as long as I can make out the story line. That will also hopefully satisfiy anyone thinking Copyright although 3 or 4 episodes won't do me much good not that I like Western's anyway.

But don't get excited I might not be able to match them either if the story lines are too similar.

That's about all the help I could really give.

Don't upload the torrent here though PM me and I'll give you an e-mail address you can send it to, we want to keep the torrent private, don't want just anybody downloading it.

Thanks, that's very kind of you. However, I must decline, because I never touch torrents, and that goes doubly considering the scheme that the ISPs are hatching at the moment.

That's ok. I don't know if I read it elsewhere but I had a good feeling you didn't like torrents.
I would have suggested a file sharing site but that's public.

BTW many torrents are legel.

What was the name of the series, what was the approximate year, and who were the main players (either actors and/or characters)?
