I have been accessing things on 4hr, 8hr and 24hr schedules for 3 different operations. That's why I'm using 3 browsers. The PC is on all day, but is turned off for about 4 to 6 hrs/day, although, it is not normally powered off to de-energize the mo-bo.
We also get many power outages here.
Our climate is so mild that when ever the winds go over 35mph, the invasive weed trees begin breaking up, knocking power lines down.
I do use a UPS, but never turn it off except when the power goes out, or I'll be gone for a few days or more.
