NEW TAB opens to a BLANK PAGE

I open IE-11 with MSN as my home page. Then I type in anything in search field like Google, yahoo, msn, etc.... then hit enter, a new tab opens and it is a blank page. this also happen on other web pages when i click on a link, if it opens to a new tab. I have had this happen on different computers with different op sys and different versions of IE. I have AVAST for VIRUS PROTEC and also using MALWAREBYTES. I hope thet this is the rite thread to be posting this question, thanks

What I'd do first is manage my add-ons - check to make sure only add-ons I'm using are enabled. Make sure my choice search provider is the only one listed and it is set as default.

If that doesn't work, I'd reset IE. There is an option to keep passwords, etc once you attempt to reset - Reset Internet Explorer settings
