IL2 1946, keyboard not working in game

Hello,

I have a problem with IL2 1946 game.
The keyboard stopped working in game or when setting controls.
It also display a weird behavior in the Full Mission editor. In the mission description field (text input) once a keyboard key is pressed it repeats continuously (like a blocked key). If another key is pressed it changes but keeps on repeating.
I've recently installed a wireless keyboard (logitech) and it worked in the game initially. I have no problems with either keyboard (laptop's and wireless) in other applications (notepad, word, etc.) or games (starcraft2). DxDiag & Device Manager shows no problems with either device.

What I've done so far (with no results):
1. replaced the game exe (il2fb.exe) with a backup copy.
2. uninstall/re-install the game from the original DVD (v4.07m)

Config:
Hardware: CPU i7 840QM, motherboard Intel PM55, 8Gb RAM, video Nvidia GTX460M 1.5Gb VRAM.
OS: Win7 home edition x64 with latest updates
IL2: v4.12.2m, no mods.

Any help on this issue will be much appreciated since I've run out of ideas how to solve this.

This fix is time consuming but useful as a last resort. I used it to fix my computer when my keyboard stopped responding in games only.
The problem can be caused by any program that interacts with your keyboard, including keyloggers, running a virus scan will save a lot of time. Assuming the scan fails you will have to remove the offending program manually. To find out which process is causing the problem you will have to test each one by ending it in task manager.

1. Open task manager.
2. End the first 10 background processes, then try to play the game.
3. Repeat step two Until the game is playable. You have now narrowed down the offending process.
4. Restart the computer.
5. End the last 10 processes that you previously ended individually, testing the keyboard in game after each one.
6. You have now identified which processes has caused the problem. You can now delete its program, or end it each time you want to play games.
