Can anyone help or point in the right direction.
I work in an IT Dept. I've never been shown how to capture an image of a PC or laptop.
I have access to Official Microsoft ISO's....and i want to build several images to image laptops that we receive in at our Service Desk.
We buy the same type laptop and specs.
I basically want to build a laptop with MS Office....tweak power settings, join the domain with a naming convention incorporate so that every laptop built has a different name, and then add a couple of other apps, too!
Can anyone tell me which tools i would need...how i incorporate the serial numbers of Windows and Office...?
What software imaging tools/software i can use.
USB Key is the method i would probably go with.
Capture image and have it on a USB key to image a laptop with?
Any sites...youtube tutorials....or post here giving me a heads up as to how i would go about it. Would be greatly appreciated.
I have heard of Clonezilla....but is this a crude approach just taking an image of the whole hdd...my boss...who is not very technical...mentioned the SID or something....would prevent u from using clonezill....SID is tied to user account though?!
