Dunno why you would want so much RAM but I don't think it will show any faster anyways.

I think the best way I can explain it is a bit like a formula 1 car ... just because you have more horse power doesn't make you necessary illy faster round the track. You might be faster down the straight at top end but then you might take a bit of strain in the bends. Your score is only .2 different to what you had before this would equate to maybe a 2-3 mph difference in speed which is hardly noticeable.
There are so many variables that could effect your WEI score that I honestly wouldn't worry about it to much. ;)

Perhaps it's just a glitch in the calculation of the WEI when you are running on Apple hardware.

I don't know what MB you have, but many boards need to drop their memory throughput when all the slots are filled. With 32GB of RAM, I'm guessing that applies to you.

Like the others said, I wouldn't sweat it. :)

Sticks of RAM only consume about 10 watts of power...so it's not a significant amount of power.

As somebody else said, when all slots are filled, the RAM usually slows a bit...which would explain the scores. The amount of RAM doesn't really benefit that score at all.

thanks for the feedback

well in general so far I have not noticed any increase in performance with the new RAM (even though I haven't done much testing yet)

I wouldn't expect that you would see much unless you are heavily using some serious applications with huge data sets. It's rare for me to even have a server with 32GB of RAM.
