Solved Input device not available

I'm trying to record something from a website.
Using Audicity or Adobe Audition.
However in the sound options Stereo-mix (VIA high definition audio) momentarily not available?
Since the sound is functioning in playing for instance system or youtube there must be an input device?
Running both mentioned audio-programs I got the message the format doesn't fit at the device?
But whatever I select none will do.

How to enable input-devices? Seems to be a general problem in W7.

The drivers are the original ones, delivered with the Manufacturers CD for the main-board.
Running W 7 64 bit.

Enabling input devices, such as the Stereo Mix is no different in Windows 7 than it is in Vista or Windows 8.

You need the Stereo Mix to be able to record audio from a web site.

Go to the Sound Panel/Recording Section. If the Stereo Mix is not shown, RIGHT click in an empty area in that panel and then click to Show Disabled and Disconnected Devices. If the Stereo Mix is now shown, you can enable it and make it the default recording device.

Local audio on the PC does not require the System Mixer, and the same with YouTube as it uses the Adobe Flash Player.

If this does not fix it, fill in the "My System Specs", helps us to try and help you.

You have the Stereo Mix. Make sure the recording programs are set for that as the source.

I have a recording studio (I use Sonar X3) and don't use Audacity, but I know it has to be set correctly to record streaming audio from the internet.

Only Windows audio preference will start a recording.
VIA can't, even with the proper settings 48000/ 24bits.
But no sound appears in the metering.
Still the stereo mix won't work.
Tried that on another PC, also this problem.
