Have you guys actually re-installed or fresh-installed the official ISO , or you just got your keys and added them to your Build 7000 that u already had?

Is there a difference? Have you noticed? Or is it identical build?

the beta when run says build 7000 since that was what people were running anyway, no advantage.

The only difference I saw from the leaked one we all got couple weeks ago and this one is the installer is updated to the recent build. As well a couple of drivers seemed to be installed automatically this time. I think there are some minor changes for the public release but not enough to give it another build number.

I did install the official download with the new key. File I downloaded did say the same build number right down to the end. So either someone messed with the build I downloaded or it was given out prior to being finished.

I believe the torrent file we all downloaded for 7000 it's the same name for the official Microsoft download. I may be wrong here, but at first saw, it was the same for me.

But, if I have one of these "not that legally activated copies" of Win 7 7000, does it worth to do the "official" activation with a key? (yes, I got a key for 7000 from MS)

Install it in a partition of your hard drive. You won't be disappointed and you'll use it a lot more than you expect.

I did a clean install of the "official" beta from MS and added the key during the install. I just wanted to have the real deal; though I don't believe there's any difference between the leak and the official version. I do believe one can be sure that the dl from MS is more secure as far as unknown infections are concerned; that's the main reason I re-installed it clean.

Later  Ted
