Solved install disk to iso

is it possible to create an ISO file from the windows 7 install dvd?
as i wish to create a usb install stick and the iso file is no longer available from digital river or microsoft.

Yes, quite easy.

You can probably do it with Windows built in tools, but I use ImgBurn.

You'd poke "Create image file from disc".

All fans PWM; speeds at idle: CPU circa 500 rpm; intake circa 600 rpm; exhaust circa 600 rpm; CPU temps 27 idle and 47 C load in a warm room (27 C/81 F) when running Intel Extreme Tuning Utility stress test.
yes i did exactly that with image burn then created a usb install stick using power ISO.
i now have all windows ISO files. safely stored on my backup drive.
