Install locations of programs/games

I have a win 7 ultimate x64 box. I used to run XP. I loaded fresh on new drives, and installed the OS, some office and utils on drive C: as normal. I have 2 more drives, D: and E:, that I have installed about a terabyte of games/simulators on. I have installed these on both drives under \program files folder. During install and setup of the OS, I turned off UAC because it was taking way to long to answer all the prompts to make sure this is what I wanted to do. So after done installing everything a week later, I flip UAC back on. Now I can't run anything without UAC kicking in and it does mess up some of my programs.
Question is. Should I just turn UAC off and leave it or do a reinstall, and put all my games on drive D and E in a folder called \Games or something like that to prevent UAC from wearing me out.

Other possibilities I was thinking of is renaming D:\program files to d:\games and do the same on drive E:, then find\replace anything in the registry from D:\program files to D:\games, do the same for E:. Would that work or would I wind up hosing my install?

user access control (uac) limits application software to standard user privilege. This is good as, for one thing, it helps prevent malware from get greater control without user authorization. there have been some complaints about uac. i keep it on for my users, as they have a habit of getting into trouble. for my own computer, i turn it off because, hey, i like risky computing.

Windows 7 uac is a lot less of a pain in the butt then was vista. so, you may wish to reinstall sw with uac. here's some additional information.
