Hello Guys, i have a question and hope somebody can help me out. I have couple PC's with Windows 7 Thin PC version installed. The Original language is English, but i'm trying to change this. When i click change language into the configuration screen i get a warning that "lpksetup.exe" cannot be found into the System32 folder. I have tried to manually copy this file from a normal embedded installation into this folder. After that i get the warning "The class is not configured to support elevated activation". Can anybody help with this? Thank you!

Hi patlover1983,
Welcome to SevenForums!
Have you run sfc scannow, CBS to Desktop.bat from administrative CMD? It repairs/replaces system files. Link is to my OneDrive batch script.
This is a more thorough version and places a log on your desktop for perusal.
SFCFix.exe <= Sysnative download page (by niemiro)?

Hello patlover1983,

No, the bat file does not always repair files, but it can diagnose which files are currently at fault. That is the importance of the log file. If you were to upload the log file to this thread, then Snick or someone, will take a look at it for you, and perhaps come up with some recommendations for you.

try this

  1. In Local Group Policy Editor, locate the following Group Policy path:

  2. Configure the following policy to Prompt for consent:

Torchwood is always very adept at correcting issues when he chimes in.

Both those programs I linked produce logs on your desktop. I assumed you would upload those after you ran them. diagnostics/logs

Hi

oh well 1 down 1 to go, for reasons only known to MS - Ultimate actually logs in under two different user profiles with different rights/privileges,

this could be related to any program UUURGH, details will be in the event viewer,
as you seem quite adept run MSINFO32, check the windows error report log under software enviroment

if your not happy run this, copy/paste the logs - ignore the title provides a wealth of info
