Dear experts,

I have printer1 connected to network, I installed this printer to a computer1. I made this. Computer1 is a centralized computer for printing, all network printers are installed here.

All computers [eg. Computer2) need to print to printer1 then I install it using : \\computer1\printer1 from run.

Computer2 is used by many users. If I install the printer using above method for user1, then user1 logoff, user2 login then this user unable to print even it has instaled.

Question: how to install the printer which installed and shared in computer1 for all user who login in computer2? So i dont have to run above method for each user?

I am using Windows 7 professional 64bit.

Thanks

If a printer is connected to a computer by USB or Lpt, then any other computer on the network must access that computer to print.

But you mentioned that the printer is connected to network (by cable or Wifi) so what you described isn't the way to do it.
You should install the printer in all computers and access them by its name or IP address.

Hello, Sir.

Sorry i haven't checked my post for long time.

So my practice is not advised? ?
Well the reason i chosed \\computer1\printer1 from run I wanted all users can do the installation by themselves without IT person assistance.

If I have to install all network printers in all computers, it is challenging because we're working clusterly.

Pls help
