Installed windows 7 on two HDD, now i can't format one

I want to format the second HDD so i can use it to put random files in. Whenever i try it seems that my second HDD has the system boot files that the first HDD uses, so it's not letting me. Pic related. Anything i can do to make it so i can reformat my second HDD?

Unplug disk 0

swap the data/sata cables so your C partition ( windows ) is on sata port 1 on your motherboard.

Run startup repair until disk 1 is booting on its own

After that hook up the D partition drive to sata port 2 on the motherboard and mark it inactive from windows.

You should now be able to format the D drive.

Do all that correctly and you should be good to go.

If that`s a windows 7 install disc you have there in your dvd drive, then you can use that to run startup repair.

Another option you have available once you have the intended 7 drive plugged into sata port #1 is to boot live from the 7 if you have that and run the command prompt option found in the repair tools there following the tutorial on the Bootrec.exe tool.
