Solved Installing a SSD for SRT in a laptop where that was an option?

I currently own an Asus Transformer Book Flip TP500LN which is an awesome laptop, however the version I had gotten just has a 700gb hard drive as opposed to a 24gbSSD+700gbHDD which was an option. However, I have been able to locate an Msata daughter board for this model (and a compatible SSD) and now I would like to install them and enable SRT caching. What I'm wondering is: how difficult is it to enable SRT on a laptop? I can't imagine it being a simple plug and play and it automatically detected and used.

On asus's site for that model it says if your on 8.1 use this 400 Bad Request but srt does not seem to be on there support site. Are you sure models shipped with hdd+ssd use SRT and not something like express cache?

Honestly? I don't know what protocol it uses.

And I discovered that the module I found will not come with a needed ribbon cable (or screws), so I just purchased this because it will be more straightforward to install.

Update: I now really love this laptop. Not only is it very easy to open without damaging it, but it has the daughtercard for the half msata preinstalled. It still doesn't have the ribbon cable unfortunately. It does look like a generic cable and is only 1 1/2" long, so hypothetically I could possibly get a generic 12 - wire ribbon cable and use that. I didn't think to take a picture of the connectors, but that won't take too long to fix.

Not sure how a hybrid drive would work with OEM caching though. For one thing it would be redundant.

the SHD would use its own drivers or software to do its own type caching and yes oems would be redundant.
