System: Dell Studio XPS 1340 running Windows 7 x64 build 7600
I just had to reinstall the OS on this system because something went wrong. After the clean install, everything was working fine until it got time to install the Dell System Software (found here: Drivers & Downloads )
When I installed this and rebooted, the "Starting Windows" screen took a little longer than usual. Then there was a blue screen for half a second and then the system restarted. I was able to revert using startup repair to a previous restore point. Do I really need the system software that much, and if so, how do I go about fixing this problem?
