ive tried taking ownership of the files and i reallly dont no how to do this
if anyone has got the time to tell me

You may need to do this after the reghack:

Right click on it > Properties > Security Tab > Advanced > Owner Tab > Edit > Click on Administrators > OK > OK > OK > OK > YES then Right Click on the file again, Properties > Security Tab, click on EDIT > click on Administrators, Full Control: Allow > OK > OK.
