Installing windows 7 on a new laptop with win 10

I am thinking of buying a Toshiba Satellite P50-C-18M Laptop, Intel Core i7, 12GB RAM, 256GB SSD, 15.6" with Windows 10 installed. How difficult would it be to remove Windows 10 and install Windows 7. I'm reasonably computer savvy but have never wanted to go backwards with a Windows install. Mainly concerned about the Windows 10 compulsory updates and I prefer the Windows 7 GUI.

Installing Windows 7 should be easy, getting drivers may be the hard part.

Maybe you should contact Toshiba before proceeding.

I would make an image of what's there now. Then wipe the disk and install Win7. You can test it for 30 days without a valid key. If it works, you buy it, else you go back to your image.

It looks like that laptop has Win 7 drivers available.
I would download all network related drivers before installing Win 7.

Thanks to all for the help. I have ordered the Toshiba and followed the above link for the drivers but there are so many. Do I have to download all the Win 7 drivers or is there a "package" containing all the drivers needed? I will do a backup (I've got a USB HDD drive somewhere) In case of problems. I use Microsoft money and understand that that won't run without some tweaking of the registry. Even then it won't open the original money data files. I still need a copy of Win 7. I guess I could wipe my old computer and use the key from that.

You should only need to have the Lan (Network) drivers.
Then you can connect to the internet, and if Windows doesn't install all other drivers you need, you can download and install them manually.

When you get the Toshiba you may be able to filter on Short model no and see what drivers are listed, i don't know that info.

I added Lan to the Keyword search criteria, and there are only 5 drivers listed.
I would download these so i have all Lan drivers available, in case Win 7 can't connect to the internet after the install.

If your old computer has an OEM license you can not transfer it to the new PC.
If it has RETAIL license, it can be transferred to the new PC.

There is no package with all the drivers, just what was posted, which is considered a package in the sense that you were given a gift by David, you only download and install the drivers you need, the network, the chipset, the audio etc.

They also post software which you don`t need, and possibly a bios update (only needed if you know how to install it)

If you have wireless, that driver also needs to be installed.

After your network drivers are installed, you run windows update, that will take care of 99% of any drivers needed, and the rest David has given you.
