Solved integrated webcam didnt work anymore

hello

ive tried to reinstall windows (disk 2 disk recovery) and cant find my webcam anymore

i cant find it in device manager and acer webcam program also cant detect

any help?

Basel mate unfortunately it is proving very difficult to find the drivers for this model.. If you can run Speccy it might give us a few more details re the motherboard, chipset, temps etc etc post some pics if you can mate.

Yep Max that is the one I found out here it certainly looks like a sea of lucky dip eh? I reckon it needs that serial number to get anything near what comes to the driver.

I was hoping the Speccy might throw up what the manufacturer was so we could access it that way but as yet no info.

Maybe if the OP pulls up the Device Manager and goes to System Devices and goes through the list we find out??

The Op states he cant find it in the Device Manager John . Might be that it shows as some Other Device or has kicked the bucket

Hmm just wondering if it is listed as a device in the BIOS as I seem to remember my Toshiba one was. Also the Toshiba also had some software or firmware bloat on the machine which controlled it.

Whether Acer has something similar I don't know as I haven't had much to do with that brand.

It may even come down to calling Acer support direct because in all honesty the support on that site we pulled up was a tad convoluted to say the least

ive uninstalled the webcam program by mistake and it wont work anymore

no and i tried to restore the system by d2d and it didnt work

Have you tried to Uninstall the software and then Reboot

Maybe a quick way to solve this basel is to get a small web cam to stick on the machine .

But I was wondering what about a factory default install? as that would still have the webcam stuff in it! I think the default key is F10

But it means starting from scratch!

Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.

Hi there Looks as if you have done every thing possible .. Maybe ICit2lol suggestion might be your only other Option
