I just reformatted my computer using the Windows 7 installation disc. After reformatting I was left without any network adapters so I downloaded the network driver for Windows 7 onto a USB and tried installing on my clean computer. I get the following error message:

cannot install drivers. no intel(r) adapters are present in this computer

I searched online for the problem and came onto the following thread:

Welcome to the forum,

Where did you download the network driver from?

I don't see an Intel adapter, I see a Realtek Ethernet controller,

Code:
Ethernet Controller	PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&SUBSYS_76811462&REV_06\4&682126E&0&00E6	The drivers for this device are not installed.

You need to start with the chipset though,

You need all four of these on the bottom from here,

https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/P67AGD65.html#down-driver&Win7 64

(Select Win7 64 in the dropdown)

And the Marvell and the audio driver I outlined here,

Do the Intel Chipset Driver first,

Then the rest.

I'm still trying to find out what this is,

Code:
1394 OHCI Compliant Host Controller	PCI\VEN_1125&DEV_3044&SUBSYS_0C0010A5&REV_A5\5&2CE2B8E1&0&1000E4	[B][COLOR="Red"]This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use[/COLOR][/B].

Since it doesn't actually need drivers, I think it will get resolved once you have the rest of the drivers and all the updates and SP1 for windows you will need.

Code:
 Operating System: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600) (7600.win7_rtm.090713-1255)

Post this file next time if you would,

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/374583-system-information-file-create-windows.html#Part1

After you install all those drivers.

Thank you, that worked like a charm. It seems like all the missing drivers were attainable through the MSI (motherboard) website so I dug up my old installation disc for it and just installed all the missing drivers from there. I would have never thought to do that without your guidance.

Props
