Hello dipdap mate personally I prefer NVidia as I had no end of problems and issues with AMD stuff.

Now I am of the opinion that a plug in GPU is better than on board stuff which is usually ok these days for day to day stuff. Now this brings me to what do you intend to do graphically with your machine??

As for bottle necking unless I have it terribly wrong plugging in a card disconnects the motherboard graphics so in effect it would be in theory impossible to run both at once.

It also depends on your budget but generally speaking out where I am this would cost you $179 GeForce GTX 750 Ti which is reasonably good for general use and light gaming to $429 for this ASUS GeForce GTX 970 Turbo 4GB - I like Asus stuff as you may have guessed and I use the Asus GTX 650Ti in both my desktops.

Well APU Graphics are dedicated but literally integrated onto the chip (just beside the processor inside the heat spreader). If you're into playing but will not mind the graphical settings, I suggest just don't buy a graphics card until you have enough money.

Best AMD APU for gaming (imo)
CPU: AMD A10-7850K 3.7GHz Quad-Core Processor ($184.99 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-D3H Micro ATX FM2+ Motherboard ($64.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-2133 Memory ($74.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $324.97
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available. Price may change.)

If you want to have a graphics card:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Pentium G3420 3.2GHz Dual-Core Processor ($74.14 @ NCIX US)
Motherboard: Asus H81M-A Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($54.99 @ NCIX US)
Memory: Team Dark Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($74.98 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: XFX Radeon R7 260X 1GB Video Card ($119.99 @ NCIX US)
Total: $324.10

The HD 6670 is the best choice for crossfire. AMD's got a better SLI than NVIDIA. Or get an R7 250X if you have the budget.

Hmm can't agree on the AMD Roaster - sorry had too many issues and problems with them in the past NVidia hasn't left me dangling yet. Plus both my best laptops have integrated NVidia chips which are just superb.

But that is just my two cents worth;)

Heh..There's trouble to expect when using AMD Processor with NVIDIA GPU. Intel/AMD or Intel/NVIDIA is the way to go. SLI on AMD's got a noticeable improvement while the Green Team only got slight.

I would go with the APU setup Roaster mentioned before... I don't know how in fond you are about heating issues if you don't have a properly ventilated CPU case. APU's give reasonable performance while keeping your system at least bearable regarding temperatures. ExGPUs are great choices, but you need to take in mind temps and cooling solutions, otherwise, you will experience problems, lag or BSOD's while gaming...

Why not changing only your APU? Your MoBo is fully compatible with FM2+ sockets, and that A10-7850K APU uses that socket. If you change the APU with the one suggested by Roaster, you get a better GPU and a faster CPU in one shot. Even better, if you change your current APU, you can sell it later, A6 APU's are good for many people that don't do too intensitive stuff.

It's a win-win situation, and you don't risk system stability, at least not until you start learning about cooling solutions and stuff to keep your system cool for gaming.

P.S. I know I sound paranoid about system cooling and temperatures, but believe me, I've seen GPU's die because of unbearable temperatures...
