Solved internet connection sharing problem using linksys e1000

i've been trying to share my laptop's wireless internet connection to other laptops to no avail. i'm currently posting from my internet-connected laptop. here's the layout i use:

wifi-internet-connected laptop => linksys e1000 (tried all ports) => dynex switch
i got 2 other laptops that are wirelessly connected to the linksys wireless router with no problem.

i need to set up internet host laptop to have its wifi internet connection shared with other network PCs.

i am grateful to myself for solving problem on my own. now i got the skills to set up networks with shared internet connection with no problems at all. i played around with network configurations and IP addresses and that is it. spent more than 2 weeks to get where i am now with network configuration including wi-fi ics. thanks for nothing and everything.
